Question

What QuickBooks is doing with my bank statement when I reconcile? If I click on the downloadeed statement, I get a "Save" dialog ... but I can't view it.

QuickBooks somehow seems to magically download my bank statement from the linked account when I reconcile. However, when I try to view the statement by clicking on it, QuickBooks puts up a 'Save as' dialog, and prompts me to save the document. If I do that, then go back and click on the document to view it, I'm promoted to save it again, but I never get to view it.

Hi again allanri,

It sounds like you're taking advantage of the view statement feature in QuickBooks Online Plus or Accountant to easily get your bank statements in your account. I've noticed you previously posted about this topic in the community, and I want to make sure you have a link to my response to your other post here, just in case. What you're describing sounds like a browser issue, and I'll be happy to help you resolve this situation.

In my previous response to your post, I shared with you some great troubleshooting steps to tackle bugs in the program. Here are more additional steps you can try.

I'd also recommend making sure your PDF reader is updated. Here's how: How to update, repair, or re-install Adobe Reader/Acrobat

I hope this helps! Feel free to reach back out if you need anything else.
