Hello userinfo51,

Great job on migrating from QuickBooks Desktop to Online. It's important your General ledger is reflecting the correct totals. Rest assured, I'll help steer you towards the right path with this. QuickBooks is designed to provide business owners like you the necessary tools to take their accounting to the next level.

Before we get started, here are the reasons why you're seeing a different balance across QuickBooks Desktop and Online:

  • Outstanding transactions
  • New transactions for a connected account
  • Duplicate transactions
  • Edited or deleted transactions

Now that you're aware of what may be causing the difference, I'd recommend checking our Post conversion checklist article. The article provides in depth info on what you'll need to do to complete the conversion process. Since you've just converted from Desktop, check out these helpful tutorials which help make the learning curve a shorter experience.
