Question

When reconciling a bank account, is there a reason that QBO is not automatically downloading the bank statements? The bank feed is connected, but no available statements

Hello Dana_Lynn,

Being able to automatically download your bank statements for reconciling purposes is one of the great newer features available in QuickBooks Online. I appreciate your eagerness for wanting to use it to expedite your reconciliation process and can go over a few key details about this feature.

The first important detail is the option to review your banking statements directly through the reconcile process is available to QuickBooks Online Plus users only. If your account isn't at the Plus level, that could be one reason you're not having your bank statements come through. If you'd like to consider upgrading, you can learn more here: Upgrade your QuickBooks Online subscription

The second important detail is that it's only a select number of banks that are participating in this feature at this time. I recommend taking a look at Open bank statements from the reconcile page to learn which banks are supported as we have a list available near the end of the article.

If you're using Plus but your bank isn't supported, you can manually add your bank statements to your reconciliations. That same article I linked above includes steps on how to do that.

I'll be here if you need clarification.
