Where did the Fiscal year go?!! Did I turn off the Fiscal year in my P/L Reports?

Don't worry! I'm here to help figure out why your fiscal year option is missing from your reports. I know how big a role that simple filtering option can play in working with your data, and I want to make sure it's available to you in QuickBooks Online. I'd like to take you through some troubleshooting.

As I mentioned, the fiscal year option is an important part of bookkeeping, and it's included by default in reports for QuickBooks Online when you're running reports via the browser. While there is a way to change your fiscal year in the Advanced section of the Account and settings via the Gear icon, there isn't a way to turn it off. Meaning, it should still be available to you. Since you're not seeing it, it could simply be a glitch in the system. The following troubleshooting steps help tackle glitches.

• Clear browser cache if using a browser
• Clear the app cache if using the QuickBooks Online app for Windows or Mac
• Try a browser if using the app
• Try a private browser window
• Try another browser type
• Make sure you're using a supported browser and system
• Reset your Internet or try on another computer or device

In particular, if you're using the QuickBooks Online app for Windows/Mac, I recommend switching to a browser. This is because the app has been discontinued and it may not work properly moving forward. For the best functionality, a browser should do the trick.
