Why are our reports showing symbols instead of the actual words? For example, our AP Aging Summary says "A/P Aging Summary Report".

Making sure your reports are displaying properly is a basic step in understanding the information they're sharing with you. I appreciate you bringing it to my attention that your Accounts Payable Aging Summary report in QuickBooks Online is showing symbols instead of words. I'm here to help you sort this out.

 

I took a peek to see if you have included any screenshots with your question here in the QuickBooks Community since those can be a useful tool in getting a sense of what's going on. I'm not seeing one, nor am I seeing any symbols in your question, but that's okay! I was able to track down what you're seeing by looking in a test account, and I think I'm seeing what you're seeing. Here's what the report is showing me.

 

 

If that's what you're seeing, I do see we've had other reports of this with both the A/P Aging Summary and Detail reports, and there's a ticket open with our engineering team. All the same, I'd like you to try the following troubleshooting steps to see if they help.

 

Since QuickBooks Online operates using the cloud, the software, including it's display, can be impacted by things such as cache buildup, browser type, and even your Internet connection. Please go through the following steps one at a time and see if they resolve the issue you're running into with this report.

If by the time you get through the list you're still seeing the symbols instead of words, I recommend connecting with a member of the QuickBooks Online support team outside of the QuickBooks Community. This'll give that person the opportunity to see the error in your account and add you to our engineering ticket so that team knows you're also impacted by this issue.
