Why can't I merge two bank accounts on the gl? An app is creating an additional bank account and they say to merge the two accounts but QBO isn't allowing me to.

In QuickBooks Online, you can easily merge accounts, customers, or suppliers. This is helpful if you want to have a single representation in your Chart of Accounts or in your financial reports. I'd be happy to explain the reason why your accounts may not be merging properly. 

Some accounts cannot be changed or cannot be merged into an existing account because of their Type. The Uncategorized Asset is one example of this kind of account. If a user, who has Online Banking, tries to change the Type to a different one, this warning will appear: "Please correct the following errors: You can't change the type of this account because it is reserved for the Online Banking feature."
