Deleting Tax Rate

I must have chosen Automated Sales Tax Rate. I want to deactivate or delete the tax option from my invoices. How do I do that.

My Tax button does not show any EDIT button to deactivate.

Let me help ensure your invoices aren't taxable, vchuri.

 

You won't be able to remove the tax option on the invoice since the tax tracking feature is already activated. Also, you won't be able to delete a tax rate in QuickBooks Online.

 

If you no longer need or use them, you can deactivate the tax rate. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Taxes.
  2. Select Edit sales tax, then select Edit rates.
  3. Find the tax rate you want to deactivate, then switch it from On to Off.
  4. Click Yes.
