I can help you find the account that contains your sales taxes in QuickBooks Online (QBO), helenshipton.

You can find the sales tax transactions you've created in the Payable and Suspense accounts. To see if you created transactions for that period, you can go to the Liability Account History page.

Here's how:
  1. Click Accounting in the left menu.
  2. Choose Chart of Accounts.
  3. Choose the Tax Payable account.
  4. Click the Account history link.
  5. Click the Filter icon.
  6. Click the Date drop-down button. Then, choose the date period you want to run.

If the sales tax transactions are showing in the Liability Account History page but not in the Trial Balance report, you can try accessing QBO using a private or Incognito window. This helps us to check if this is a browser issue or not.

If it works, try clearing your browser's cache to remove the temporary Internet files. You can also use a different supported browser like Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox to be thorough.

If the same thing happens, I'd suggest contacting our Customer Support Team. They'll investigate what's causing this issue.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. Click Help on the top menu.
  2. Choose Contact us.
  3. Enter running Trial Balance report with the sales taxes in the What can we help you with? field.
  4. Click Let's talk.
  5. Choose Start an email to connect with us.
I have a link here that contain articles about managing reports in QBO: https://community.intuit.com/browse/quickbooks-online-intl-reports.

Keep us posted by replying to this post if you need anything else with running Trial Balance report. I'm here to help.
