Question

Hi. I accidentally create a GST tax setting on my account and seem unable to delete them. Can anyone direct me on how to undo or delete the tax setting?

I’m basically just using QuickBooks for basic accounting purpose for my small business and the GST tax is not applicable for our business. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate

Deleting or undoing tax setup isn’t possible in QuickBooks Online. Since the added GST tax doesn’t apply to your business, you have the option to deactivate the tax rate.


Here’s how:

 

  1. Go to the Taxes menu.
  2. Find the tax rate you want to deactivate.
  3. Select Edit sales tax, then select Edit rates.
  4. From the Edit dropdown menu, select Make inactive.
  5. Press Yes to confirm.
