Glad you joined us here, arif.bilal! Thank you for choosing QuickBooks Online. I'm here to ensure everything is running seamlessly.

Are you referring to the amount due shown on the Tax page? We can perform some troubleshooting steps to isolate why your taxes paid on purchases are not getting reflected. Beforehand, I recommend running your VAT - Tax Detail report to review if those amounts show. This report lists transactions that are included in each box on the tax return.

Here's how:

  1. In the left navigation menu, select VAT.
  2. On the VAT page, click the dropdown arrow next to Prepare Return.
  3. Select View VAT details.

If the expenses or bills show but the amount is not updated on the Tax page, you may have too much accumulated historical data. Whenever you visit a website, it saves some information from the web page in its cache and cookies. These files allow the websites you visit most often to load faster. Not to worry, clearing them will do the trick.

First, let's try accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

If it works, switch back to your regular browser. Then, clear its cache. This way, you can access QuickBooks with a clean slate. You can also use a different supported one.

Otherwise, if the transactions are not showing in the report, ensure their dates are correct. Check out this article on how to find transactions so you can review or edit them: Account History.

Please let me know if there's anything else you need. I want to make sure you're taken care of. Wishing you a wonderful rest of your day.
