Hello, @nmcgeown.

Allow me to share some insights about the report that shows invoices or expenses that were entered outside the scope of VAT when selecting the VAT rate in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You can run the Transaction Detail by Tax Code report to display your invoices or expenses that were entered outside the scope of VAT. You just need to customize it to modify its data based on your needs. I'll show you how:

  1. Select the Reports menu, then click Reports
  2. Type in "Transaction Detail by Tax Code report" in the search bar then select.
  3. Click the Customize option, then choose the Report period.
  4. Hit the Filter dropdown.
  5. Select invoice and expenses, then navigate to the transaction type.
  6. Click Run report.

I've also included the following article if you want to save your report's customization settings: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.
