Welcome to the Community, @jenniferrf1. You can customize the Transaction List by Date report for your simple list of expenses for your 2024 tax preparation then export it to Excel, CSV, or get a PDF copy of it. We're happy to show you how to do it in QBO. Here's your step-by-step guide:

    1. Navigate to the Reports menu.

    2. Enter Transaction List by Date in the Type report name here field.

    3. Set the Report period to Last year.

    4. From the Group by option, choose either Account name or Account name (with sub-accountnames).

    5. Go to Filter option, then select Transaction type in the first box and equate it to your money-out transactions from the drop-down list in the third box.

    6. Click Add another filter, then choose Account equating it to your preferred accounts.

    7. Once done, click More actions, then choose from these options: Export to Excel, Export as CSV or Print/save as PDF.

Alternatively, you can also run the Transaction Detail by Account report for a more comprehensive list. Here's how to do it:

    1. Go to the Reports menu.

    2. Enter Transaction Detail by Account in the Type report name here field.

    3. Set the Report period to Last year.

    4. Set your preferred Accounting method (Accrual or Cash).

    5. Go to Filter option, then select Transaction type in the first box and equate it to your money-out transactions from the drop-down list in the third box.

    6. Once done, click More actions, then choose from the following options: Export to Excel, Export as CSV or Print/save as PDF.
