You have the option to delete the recorded payment and recreate it with the accurate details, Ling5. I’ll be here to guide you through each step of the process.

QuickBooks allows you to delete inaccurate transactions, ensuring your financial records stay accurate and updated. Since you've recorded a payment incorrectly, you can remove it by following the steps below:

  1. Go to VAT and select the Payments tab.
  2. Find the VAT payment you've incorrectly made.
  3. From the Action column, click the ⋮, select Delete.
  4. Click Yes to confirm.

After successfully removing the incorrect payment from your records, the next step is to recreate the payment with the correct details. Moreover, if you experience any difficulties while deleting the payment, you can refer to the Troubleshoot VAT Issues section of this article for guidance on resolving the matter: Manage VAT payments in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, here's an article that provides a detailed explanation on how to calculate the taxes you owe and the reasons for them: Check how much tax you owe in QuickBooks Online.

Following these steps will help you resolve any mistakes in your payment records, ensuring your financial data remains accurate and updated. If you have other questions about this process, feel free to reply or post in this forum. We'll always available to support you.
