I want to ensure you'll be able to map foreign credit card payments in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @1337 7519 65.

In QBO, to have the ability to record transactions in foreign currencies, you'll have to turn on the Multicurrency feature. Just a heads up, once this feature is enabled, there's no option to turn it off. I'd be happy to guide you how:

  1. Navigate to the Gear icon.
  2. Then, choose the Account and Settings option.
  3. From there. select Advanced.
  4. In the Currency section, click Edit and pick your Home Currency.
  5. Check the Multicurrency box and confirm that you understand that you can't undo this option.
  6. Once done, click Save and close.

As your reference about the process of enabling this feature, you can browse through this link: Turn on and use multicurrency.

When finished, you can now add transactions from foreign currencies to QBO. Please see the following steps:

  1. Open the transaction details.
  2. Then, select Add.
  3. From the currency fields, input the Foreign amount or the Exchange rate your bank provides.

You'll learn more about the process by visiting this article: Add transactions in a foreign currency.

Just in case you'll need to split transactions to categorize them on different accounts and taxes, you can easily perform the action in QBO. However, the option to split transaction amounts into different currencies is unavailable.

I'd be glad to assist you further if you have any other concerns about accepting foreign credit card payments in QBO. Feel free to leave a reply below. Have a great week ahead.
