Question

Will there be changes made to the Irish version of QBOA in respect of VAT changes in Ireland because of Brexit e.g. postponed accounting ?

Or could this possible be addressed by simply adding a by tax rate in my QBOA ?

Allow me to share a few information about VAT changes in Ireland, padraig1.

 

QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBO) is only available in United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and India. There will be new Value Added Tax (VAT) codes in QBO due to postponed accounting to some selected regions from January 1, 2021, and these can be found in the VAT rate settings. 

 

If you're unable to find new tax codes in your QBO account, I recommend reaching out to your accountant to help you customize your VAT codes or create a new rate if necessary.

QBOA is available in Ireland as I am an accountant and I have a QBOA login. My question is particularly in relation to the Irish version and the changes brought about by Brexit.

At this time, we don't receive any update from our product engineers on when the new VAT codes will be included in the Ireland version of QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA). Rest assured that they're working on adding these new VAT codes to all regions as soon as possible..

 

Also, to ensure you'll get an email with the latest update with this new set of VAT codes, I suggest reaching out to our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can add your company and create a ticket to inform you of any updates available about these new VAT codes.
