Dealing with different tax amounts can get confusing especially if your goal is to manage your QB account with ease. I'll be glad to share more information on this. 

 

QuickBooks makes it easy to keep track of your taxes with its robust tax center feature. Based on what you've described, it's important to figure out what's making up the difference between the two reports. Knowing how the difference is occurring helps with coming with a solution. Sometimes the difference can be caused by transactions without sales tax when they're supposed to have taxes included. You can use the Transactions without sales tax report to check for these transactions. To access it:

  1. Click Taxes from the left navigation menu >Sales Tax.
  2. On the right hand side, click the Reports drop down.
  3. Select Transactions without sales tax.
  4. If needed, adjust the date range for the report and click Run report.
