BC has a new 5% increase to the PST rate on Fossil Fuel Combustion Systems and Heat Pumps. Will QBO add another tax code for these types of products?

Welcome to Community!  Managing your sales tax in QuickBooks Online can be done effortlessly to ensure your aligned with government regulations.  I'll be happy to help!

With the increase to the PST rate on Fossil Fuel Combustion Systems and Heat pumps in BC, you'll need to create the new sales tax rate within your QuickBooks account.  Here's how:

1. Select Taxes from the left menu and then Sales tax

2. Click on Manage sales tax

3. Open Add tax

4. Choose the appropriate option to Add a sales tax rate under What type of tax do you want to add?

5. Follow the prompts to complete the process

That's it!
