Can i keep track of hst on my expenses without having a hst #?

To know if you should be keeping track of these transactions since you don't have an HST number, as well as how it should be tracked since it might not be owed to the government, I recommend speaking to your accountant. They'll be able to best assist in making sure those taxes are entered correctly if they do indeed need to be entered so that your books can be well balanced. You can invite your accountant to your QuickBooks Online account by clicking on the My Accountant tab.
