Hi caroljbert,

I'm glad to hear you're using the sales tax centre in QuickBooks Online. It's one of the most powerful features of the program designed to accurately record and track your sales tax amounts. I'll be happy to share more on this.

Once you turn on sales tax in your account, QuickBooks Online automatically sets up a list of tax codes based on where your company is located. When applying a tax code on an invoice or expense, the Amounts are option allows you to select if your transaction is Inclusive of Tax or Exclusive of Tax. You also have the flexibility to manually edit the sales tax amount calculated by the system, before saving your transaction.
