Question

Can I map different tax liabilities to difference Vendors?

For example, we want to separate the Receiver General (Vendor) for different types of taxes.

Receiver General - Sales Tax

Receiver General - Payroll Liabilities

Receiver General - Income Tax

Are there implications to this?

Hi there teddywest,

It's vital that everything in your QuickBooks Desktop is set up properly so that your books can be well balanced. It's a great software able to help you keep track of transactions to see the amount owed to vendors. I can point you in the right direction for assistance.

In order to know if setting up each of those Receiver General purposes as separate vendors will be able to work correctly within your books, I recommend reaching out to the QuickBooks Desktop support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to view the setup of your software as well as how you've currently got your accounts set up to make sure all is tracked properly. You can reach them using the methods provided in the QuickBooks Desktop software support policies.
