Hi taghi,

This is an interesting question, and I imagine there might be a few reasons you might be looking to do this sort of thing in your books, especially given our prior conversation about sales tax interest and penalties. It's important to me that you get the answers you're looking for with this question, and I can point you in the right direction to get that help.

QuickBooks Online's sales tax module organizes the sales tax calculations by sales tax agency so that you can easily complete your filings later. The module doesn't include a way to transfer the balance from from CRA account to another.

Knowing exactly what you're trying to do and what you mean by CRA account would be helpful. However, since the sales tax module doesn't have a feature to transfer a balance of any kind, working with an accountant is ideal. They'll be able to let you know what kind of entry you can create to properly account for this transfer in your books, whether it be something like a journal entry or otherwise.

You can take a peek at the My Accountant tab to learn the ways you can connect with an accountant using QuickBooks Online. The tab includes a field where you can invite your account as a user to your QuickBooks so they can work with you right in the software. Otherwise, there's the Find a pro to help button that connects you with our database of accountants certified in QuickBooks Online, which could really be beneficial for a situation such as this.
