Question

Captured receipts work and it captures HST but on 3 it makes the tax code go to 0% when trying to convert to expense. Do next one no problem. Same Tax code.

Let's figure out the cause of the receipts that display zero when converting them to an expense and fix it to keep you going with your task, Fastpathprojects.

The outdated stored cache can affect the program's performance. I recommend accessing your account using a private window. This way, we can determine whether this is a browser-related issue.

Incognito mode helps us verify the issue since this doesn't save any files. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

Once in incognito mode, log back into your QuickBooks Online account and convert a receipt to an expense to check if the tax rate is applied correctly.

If it works, clear the browser's cache. Doing so deletes all the data from your browser and optimizes its performance. You may also use other supported browsers as an alternative.

Additionally, I'll be sharing these resources on other ways to manage your receipts and help you categorize your bank transactions in QuickBooks:
