Help me I have a question

Hi, I am a bookkeeper for a small restaurant.

We are using QBO but I didn't set up QBO payroll because we are using the separate payroll site.

My boss wanted to pay the payroll tax every month and pay the tax by the business bank account.

When the amount paid is on a bank statement, we should match the amount and record it on QBO.

How can I record this amount? There is no button for payroll tax on the tab of Taxes for us.

Can you help me?

Thanks

Leah Ju

Thanks for reaching out to us, @siska72.

I want to help you out with your payroll and banking concern. If you don't have a payroll subscription with us, the best way to record your transactions is through a journal entry.

The following article will guide you how to use the manual payroll option in QuickBooks and get instructions on the accounts to use: Record payroll transactions manually.

Also, the instructions from this link will help you with the setup. Please note that that linked article is for United States customers, but the steps will apply to your country. Just update the tax description that corresponds to your agency and country.

Come back here again if you have other questions or concerns with the program. I'll be more than happy to help you out.
