Hi yeehui,

It's important that sales tax on your transactions is accurate and aligned with government guidelines.  QuickBooks Online enables you to set a default account to the sales tax codes you create.  However, in your situation you'll need to create a new tax code.  I'd be glad to help!

At this time, there isn't a way to delete the current tax code, however, you can make it inactive by following these steps;

1. Open Taxes from the left menu and then select Sales tax (Take me there)

2. Click on Manage sales tax

3. On the Tax agencies tab, locate the tax agency and use the ▼ dropdown menu in the Action column next to the tax rate and hit Make inactive

Here's a helpful guide for your reference, to assist with creating a new sales tax code in QuickBooks Online.
