I know I can make a note on the estimate but - to make the customer understand why there is no Tax on the options is difficult

Hi accounting-asbui,

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online is a dynamic program that provides the ability to work from anywhere at any time.  It's essential that you're able to create estimates that customers can completely understand.  I'll be happy to provide more information so you're on the right track with your QuickBooks goals!

Although there's no way to show the HST separately per option, as we just have a single estimate total, you could add more detail to the options in the Description field.  This would provide a better understanding for your customer.  In addition, if you feel this is something beneficial and would like to submit a suggestion to our Development team, click on Settings ⚙ > Feedback.

Please feel free to reach back out with other questions.  We'd be glad to assist!
