Hi peach-1,

Welcome to the community! The sales tax centre in QuickBooks Online ensures accuracy across your sales tax returns and remittances. I'd be happy to share more on this.

After you turn on sales tax in the system, QuickBooks not only automatically creates a list of common sales tax code for you but also sets up the GST/HST-QST Payable account to keep track of all sales taxes you collect and pay. All you have to do at this point is selecting the correct tax code for your transactions, and QuickBooks takes care of the rest. The Sales Tax column on your various forms will enable you to pick or edit your sales tax codes, and in the GST/HST-QST Detail Report, you can view the precise tax amount that the system associated to lines 103 (for your sales) and 106 (for your purchases), as well as corresponding tax codes.

In case you need assistance with running reports in the program, here's an article: Run reports in QuickBooks Online

I hope this helps! Don't hesitate to stop by if you have more questions.
