How do I find the last five sales of 2019 and the first five of 2020?

QuickBooks offers a variety of reports which show important info that'll help you get ahead with your work. 

Based on the info you're looking for, I suggest running a Sales by Sales by Product/Summary report. This report will show your total sales for each product or service. Includes the quantity, amount, % of sales, and average price. The good thing is you can filter this report by date so it hows you the specific transactions you're looking for. You can find this report by clicking Reports from the left menu > enter the report name and hit the search icon.

Once you have the report open, you can Custom filter the dates you're looking for. Since you're looking at two separate date ranges, I suggest, printing out the data you get from each of the date ranges if you'd like to have a copy. If you need to customize your report, here's a handy article which shows you how: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.
