I am trying to Post a credit received from revenue canada re GST refund. I only use one account for GST payable and receivable. The system will not allow me to post?

Recording your sales tax transactions accurately is important for your business. I'll be happy to assist with this. With QuickBooks Online, you can record a refund from the CRA in a few easy steps. Here's how:

1. Select Taxes from the left menu
2. Select the Sales Tax tab
3. Select the filed return you wish to record the refund for
4. Select Record refund from the drop-down menu in the ACTION column
5. Enter the Refund amount
6. If needed, use the Memo field to include anything you want to remember about this payment
7. Select Save
8. Your refund will be visible under the Payments tab for your reference.
