i have made a payment on my gst liability. However the program wont let me record the payment as a reduction in my gst liability account.

You'll get this error message if you use the cheque transaction in paying your GST liability, Doniasnow. To successfully record the payment, you'll go to Sales tax page.

Here's how:

1. Navigate to the Taxes section and select Sales tax.
2. Scroll down and click the Filings.
3. Locate the GST liability account.
4. Click on Prepare return.
5. Select Mark as filed.
