I have transferred money from one bank account to another and when it shows up on my bank transaction as a transfer, it added GST. how can i get rid of it?

On the other hand, bank transfers between your own accounts are internal transactions and aren't usually subject to taxes such as GST. Please note that QuickBooks Online (QBO) relies on the accuracy of the transaction information from your bank. It's also important that the transaction is accurately recorded as shown on your bank statement.

Additionally, the transfer functionality in QBO only mimics the movement of funds and doesn't have fields to indicate that it's taxable, like the usual sale of goods and services.

To resolve your issue, you can follow the guidelines below:

1. Go to the Categorized tab.
2. Click on Undo for the recorded transfer and Exclude it as necessary.
3. Manually record the transfer so no GST is included, then manually clear it in your bank register.
