Original tax return was "Filed" in QBO, but no option to unfile or adjust, just Record Payment.

Hello there, @tanfab1.

You can invite an accountant or contact our support team to unfile a sales tax return. And I'd be glad to redirect you to them so you can adjust your sales tax return successfully.

You can add your accountant to your QuickBooks Online account so he/she can help you undo the tax filing. Your accountant also has specific tools to help manage your books.

To add an accountant, here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Manage Users.
  3. Go to the Accounting firms tab.
  4. Click Invite.
  5. Complete the required fields and click Send.

I've got you an article for your reference: Invite or Remove an Accountant.

The other option is to contact our Technical Support Team so they can help you undo the tax filing for a period. That way, you can make the proper adjustment and then file your taxes.

To reach them, click Help (question mark icon) at the top right, then hit Contact us
