Question

I set up two Sales Accounts, however, when entering a Sales Receipt, the Products/Services fields will only allow “Sales”. How do I choose a specific Sales account?

It's great to see you in Community.  Welcome!  QuickBooks Online has the versatility you need to manage your books seamlessly.  It's vital that your sales receipts are recorded to the appropriate account.  I'll be happy to help!

 

One of the many benefits of QuickBooks is having default accounts created automatically, based on your company information.  This minimizes the need to create accounts individually, saving valuable time.  Based on the information you've provided, you also have the option to set a default account to specific products and services.  If you need to change the income account, you'll find the steps here.  If you need additional assistance with recording your sales, I recommend reaching out to your accountant.  If you don't have an accountant you can locate a ProAdvisor in your area from here.
