Is there a way to filter the expenses shown on the GST Detail Report to only include the expense accounts I need? Customization>FilterBy>DistributionAccount doesn't work.

QuickBooks Online comes stocked with tons of awesome reports you can refer to when assessing your business health. The GST/HST Detail Report lists the transactions that are included in each box on the GST/HST return. While you do have the option to customize the report, the options on what you can filter or adjust will be limited in order to protect the integrity of the report's function. 

As you mentioned, you're able to filter by distribution account, however this option allows you to select "all expense accounts", rather than specific ones. This specific report doesn't offer the ability to display particular expense accounts and filter others out. 

I can see how that would be handy in your particular scenario, and I'd be happy to pass that on to our product engineers for review.
