Hello sgarde,

QuickBooks Self-Employed is the most streamlined version of QuickBooks with the goal of keeping things simple. I can see how your situation with the sales taxes would complicate things, and I want to make sure you're getting the answers you need for your setup in the program.

To explore this kind of sales tax setup and go over the options, I recommend connecting with the QuickBooks Self-Employed team directly. These agents have the training needed to account for all situations and will let you know if how you need to calculate your taxes is possible within the Self-Employed software and what alternatives you can consider if not. Here's how you can get in touch.

  1. Select the Assistant feature.
  2. Type and enter "talk to human."
  3. Follow the prompts to connect with support.

Don't hesitate to reach out! Wishing you the best with this. :)

hi sgarde-telus-net

I found this article that relates to Quickbooks Online, but perhaps the Self Employed version allows you to setup these codes also?
