Recorded GST instalments do not show up in GST62

I appreciate the screenshot and the explanation of what's happening in your QuickBooks Online account when working with sales tax instalments. I'm here to help you get back on track and can clarify how this process works in the program.

I can see you've used the Instalment feature in the Taxes menu for sales tax, which is the perfect start. When working with sales tax instalments, it's important to use that feature to ensure that the program understands how you need this information to be entered and impact your reporting. Based on your screenshot, it looks like you've entered them as they should be, so there's further troubleshooting to undertake.

The first thing to consider when you click to file the sales tax is whether the dates match the periods for which the instalments are supposed to fall under. In this case, it's the filing date that you'd want to pay attention to, since that lets the program know which filing period they apply to. If the dates at the top of your Prepare GST return screen don't match what's needed for the instalments, simply change them using the date fields. Keep in mind that if you've already filed sales tax in the system, you won't be able to change the Start date as the program will assume what it should be based off the previous filing. If you need to file for a prior period and you've already filed a more recent one, a member of our support team can help by undoing the filing, or an accountant user on your QuickBooks Online account can undo the filing as well.

If everything is appearing as it should be and you're still not seeing the instalments where they should be, I recommend going over this with a member of our support team so we can look at this with you more closely. I'll add those contact details to the end of my response, but first I'd like to touch on sales tax adjustments.

As I mentioned with instalments, using the features in the sales tax module to complete tasks related to filing and such is ideal. The same goes for sales tax adjustments. When you file a return, you'll see the option to Adjust certain lines on the screen where you can review that information. This article goes over that in more detail: Adjust sales tax

While you could use a journal entry like @Leith suggests, using the in-return feature is best, and I recommend consulting an accountant first if you'd like to use this option of entering journals. They'll have insight into what the best accounts are to select and how to set up the entry. You can use the My Accountant tab to invite your accountant as a QuickBooks user if you already have someone you're working with, or the Find a pro to help button can direct you to our database of QuickBooks-certified accountants near you.

It's also important to note that only certain lines can be adjusted. For instance, line 110, like you're looking for, cannot be adjusted either via journal entry or the adjust feature and is instead reliant on using features like the one for instalments to impact that line.
