For this, you need to review if there are any filings mistakenly made for a certain period that's causing this alert. To do that, you can find any journal entry created for that period. The system generates this entry to record that a filing as made.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Lists menu, then Chart of Accounts.
2. In the Chart of Accounts screen, right-click on GST/HST Payable, then select QuickReport: GST/HST payable.
3. Choose Modify Report, then change the date to the last filing date.
4. If you see a journal entry and you know it's not for that period, you can edit it then delete. Look for the entry created by QuickBooks, with the memo "File Sales Tax", then press CTRL+D to delete that journal entry.

If you can't find any filing for that period, you can run the Verify/Rebuild Utility. Here's how to do that in QuickBooks:

1. Go to the File menu then Utilities.
2. Select Verify Data then wait until the diagnosis is done.
3. If there are issues, proceed to rebuilding the company file.
4. Tap File menu and Utilities again.
5. Use Rebuild Data this time then click OK.
   
6. Follow the onscreen steps to save a backup.

1. Open QuickBooks and click the Help menu.
2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
3. On the pop-up screen select Contact us.
   
4. Click the Search for Something else button then type your concern in the Ask us anything box.
5. Press Search then scroll down to get your contact options.
