My quarterly sales tax filing dates are wrong on my QBO. How do I edit/adjust the dates so they are correct?

Hi Robin L,

It's vital you're able to adjust the dates on your tax filings. QuickBooks makes it simple to organize your taxes and I'll be glad to share more information about filing adjusting your tax filing.

Here's how to adjust your filing dates:

  1. Click on Taxes from the left menu.
  2. Select Sales Tax at the top.
  3. Click on Manage Sales tax.
  4. On that page, click Edit Agency Settings.
  5. From here, you can make the necessary edits.

Give this a try and if you have questions, don't hesitate to reach back to me. I've got your back.

Thank you for your response. I do see what you are saying and have tried this. But, in this case the start date for this quarter is the right date but the end date is wrong. When I follow your steps the only option that is there is to change the start date of the quarter when in fact the date I need change is the end date of the quarter. My end date is Feb. 15 and QBO says it should be Feb 28. Therefore, I'm not exactly sure how to get around this.

Good day, Robin L. I appreciate you trying that on your end. Have you tried changing the End date from the Prepare return page on your account? To access this page, click on the Taxes > from here you'll see a subheading that says To file > right underneath that you'll see the ones you need to file > click Prepare return from the right side of your screen and you'll see the option to change the end date. Let me know how you make out.
