Sales tax - previous year disappeared

I just filed my 2024 sales tax return.  I owe a small amount still and I paid it already.  I went to post the payment on QBO (cause my bank reconciliation for this month won't match unless I can post it) and there is no longer any way to enter a payment for sales tax related to 2024.  What do I do?  Anyone?

Hey there, SL1234.

 

If you've recorded your Sales tax payment in QuickBooks, you will still need to pay the revenue agency outside of your books.  To ensure it balances with your bank account, you will need to proceed with recording the payment, by creating a cheque or an expense, for the amount you've paid.  Here is a guide for reference.
