Question

Some of my customers/products aren't charged HST. In 'self-employed' can I keep a tally of HST charged on a SEPARATE spreadsheet? Not including every invoice, just a daily income tally. I'm not seeing an option to do anything other then the 1 platfor

Hello bushy73-hotmail-,

QuickBooks Self-Employed provides the flexibility you need to accurately keep track of your taxes. I'd be happy to share more info on this so you're on the right track with managing your books.

Based on what you've described, I can see the benefit of manually recording your HST on a spreadsheet. I'd recommend using the tax reports offered in the program to make it easy for you to view your tax data. You can click on Reports > search for the Sales Tax Summary report and filter the dates you'd like to view. Having your tax details on a report makes it easy for you to gather vital info and transfer it to your spreadsheets.

Let me know if this info here helps. Otherwise, you're more than welcome to ask additional questions in the comments below. I've got your back.
