Tax Rate Codes

Why are the Tax Rate Codes no longer in alphabetical order in QBO? When I add a new customer and need to assign them a tax rate code or need to change a customer's tax rate code I have to scroll the entire list of tax rate codes. They use to be in alphabetical order.

Good afternoon TammieMB,

Thanks for turning to the QuickBooks Community for support!  I can see how having this feature would be beneficial for you. I recommend leaving feedback for our developers. You can do this by heading to the gear icon and selecting the Feedback option. This will give our developers more ideas on how to make QuickBooks better. In the meantime, you can set a default tax code to your products and services to save time when creating your forms.  Here's how:
1-Open Settings :gear: and then Products and services
2-Selct Edit in the Action column
3-Scroll down to Sales tax and use the ▼ dropdown menu to set the default tax code
4-Hit Save and close when finished
