Hey 8unshine,

I'm happy to see you're being proactive in making sure your sales tax payments are all being recorded accurately. QuickBooks Online really excels at helping you save time, and the advanced sales tax tracking features are built to make filing your returns easy. Making payments is just as simple, and using the tax centre ensures everything will be consistent going forward. I can guide you through this.

Each transaction you record is tracked independently by the sales tax centre. This helps us always generate accurate returns, and makes it possible to automatically include exceptions. It just takes a few easy steps to record a payment or refund:

  1. Head to your Taxes tab and select Sales Tax.
  2. For a filed return, click on the dropdown action arrow and select Record Payment or Record Refund.

Check out this great article for additional details: Using the Sales Tax Centre (STC)

I'm here for you, so don't hesitate to stay in touch.
