My main goal is to ensure you can match your receipt to your transactions, info-couturebrid.

Before providing steps to fix this, may I know if you encounter any error messages when matching the receipts to your transactions? Adding additional details will help us provide accurate steps to fix this. A screenshot would be a great help, too.

When you upload your receipts or bills, QuickBooks extracts info from them and creates transactions for you to review. Then, you can edit them, add them to an account, or match them to an existing transaction in the Receipts tab.

If the transactions aren't identical, the system can't identify them. As a result, we'll need to find and match them manually.

Since you can't match them, I've listed the possible causes of the issue and ways to fix this.

  • The receipts and the transactions don't match. Verify them to ensure they're correct.
  • Ensure that the QuickBooks Online transaction has not already been matched to another transaction.
  • The dollar amount in QuickBooks is not equal to or higher than the bank transaction. You can edit the original transaction and refresh the page.

If the issue persists, I recommend accessing your account using a private window. This way, we can determine whether this is a browser cache-related issue. The browser utilizes cached data to load web pages quickly. However, excessive cache can lead to problems that impact the appearance and functionality of your account.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

If the receipts match the transactions, I recommend clearing the cache. Doing so deletes all the data from your browser and optimizes its performance. Using other supported browsers also helps us verify if this is a browser-specific issue.

Additionally, I've added this article to help you review the downloaded transactions and put them in the correct accounts: Categorise Online Bank and Credit Card Data.

Please keep us posted if you need help tracking or matching your transactions. We're always ready to provide you with the assistance you need.
