Any getting spam emails from intuit geek squad invoices

      We noticed some members in US Community have reported the same thing.

      Yep. Got one recently. Apparently they want you to call the phone number so they can scam you. The email address that this forum is removing is: quickbooks (at sign)notification (dot)intuit (dot) com

      Scams come in different forms but often look pretty convincing like the one you received from Geek Squad. Please note that all official Intuit websites end in *intuit.com. A few examples include quickbooks.intuit.com, e3.intuit.com, and click.notifications.intuit.com.

       

      To make sure that you received the legit Intuit's service email address and how to add them to your email's list of accepted senders, you can open this link: Receive important email messages from Intuit.

       

      Also, if you receive another suspicious email, I suggest not clicking any links. Then, check out our security notices to verify if the email received is included in the reported suspicious Intuit emails.

      I just received this scam email as well, and it uses the official email address ending in "@notifications.intuit.com" making it look legit.  I only knew it was spam because they sent it to an email address that is not connected to my quickbooks account.  Just wanted you all to know so you can notify your security team that they are using your "intuit.com" email address.

      Is this legitimate?  in the body of the email it says:
      Your Invoice #BSH-85512 -Payment Processed

      Dear Customer,

      Your GEEK~SQUAD subscription Plan for Anti-Virus Security Has Been Successfully Renewed And Updated today!

      We have attached the invoice BSH-85512 for your subscription paid on 01/06/2023 with this email.

      The amount has been debited from your Bank Account and it will reflect in your account statement within 24 hours.

      Ignore it. Their main goal is to lure you into calling their contact number to scam you later.

      Your safety is our priority, and make sure you'll not get scammed, @arkansasred.

       

      Our emails will always come from an email address with the domain name @intuit.com. Please make sure that your client does not click on any of the links that have been added from the suspious email. I would suggest letting our security team know about this to make sure your data is well protected. Here's how:

       

      1. Proceed to the Online Security Center page.
      2. Select Contact Us.
      3. Look for Report a fake email (or phishing email) and then click on it. 

       

      Additionally, I've attached these resources that can help identify official Intuit correspondence and websites. This way, you can keep your data secure:

      I received an Email from Intuit for GeekSquad services to the tune of $349.99.  I did not contract for this service & I would like to know why I received this Email that went directly to my Spam Email account? 

      Invoice JQ-40558.  This should never have happened!!  Please prevent it from happening again?
