Question

Anyone else having issues today with emailed receipts being rejected by Intuit as spam? I’ve been uploading for months without issues and today I’m getting everything rejected....even when I do what they suggest and send the receipt as an attachment!

It's my priority to help you email your receipts to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), @SparklyPrettyThings.

There are no reported cases about not being able to forward receipts to QBSE. For the time being, I recommend resending your receipts using a private window. In most cases, unusual behaviour or an issue like this happens due to the stocked file on your browser's cache.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P

From there, open your email services, then create a new mail. Then, do the following:

  1. Attach receipt images or add them to the body of the email. You can attach as many as your email service allows. Receipt images can be JPEGs, PNGs, or PDFs (unsupported format will be rejected).
  2. Send the email to receipts@quickbooks.com.

If the receipts are added to QuickBooks successfully, I suggest going back to your original browser and clear its cache to start fresh. You can also use another supported and up-to-date browser to narrow down the result.

After that, you're now ready to review and categorise the forwarded receipts.

If you have any other follow-up questions about sending receipts to QBSE, please let me know by adding a comment below. I'm more than happy to help. Keep safe always!
