Are sub-sub accounts (multi-tiered accounts in chart of accounts) possible?

Hello!

 

In chart of accounts I have an account EUR Customer Prepayments. Naturally for receiving prepayments from Customers who pay in EUROs.

 

I know that I can create sub-accounts to that one such as "French Customers EUR Prepayments" or "Dutch Customers EUR Prepayments" or whatever.

 

But is it possible to create a sub-sub account? I.e. to have a multi-leveled hierarchy:

AccountSub-account inside AccountSub-sub accounts inside Sub-Account
EUR Customer prepaymentsFrench Customers EUR PrepaymentsClient A
  Client B
  Client C

Yes, it is possible @SGI.

 

The sub-accounts are designed to keep your chart of accounts organized and create more details on your reports. Below are the steps on how to create them.

 

  1. Go to Accounting, then Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click New, then enter your Account details.
  3. Mark the Is sub-account box, then select the parent or the sub-account from the drop-down.
  4. Enter the Balance and the date.
  5. Hit Save and Close. Do the same steps for the rest of your sub-accounts.

With these steps, you'll be able to create a multi-tiered account in your chart of accounts. The screenshot below will show you how it looks like to have a multi-sub account.
