Hello,

could someone please help me…

something went wrong with QuickBooks this morning and long story short, my bank account has now been reconnected but now I have 498 old transactions. Please tell me there is a way via the app or desktop to batch select these and exclude?
thanks !

I noticed you are dealing with duplicate transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed right after reconnecting your bank account. Don't worry. I have some guidelines you can follow to clear these double entries.

You can use either the app or desktop version to select and exclude multiple transactions instantly. I can assist you with the necessary steps to accomplish this. Let's work together and get your account back on track.

On a web browser

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Find the transactions you want to exclude and put checkmarks on them.
  3. Choose the Exclude.
  4. Pick Apply.

On an iPhone or iPad (iOS) or Android phone or tablet

  1. Go to the Transactions menu. On Android, select the menu ☰ icon and then Transactions.
  2. Choose the transaction you want to exclude.
  3. Pick Exclude transaction.

For detailed information, refer to this article: Exclude or delete transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I'm adding these articles you can use in the future:

With that information, exclude multiple transactions at once and clear the double entries from your transactions. If you have more questions about your transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed, post them here in the forum. I'll be around to answer. Have a good one!

Hello,

thankyou, but I know how to exclude a transaction. My question is, can I exclude multiple transactions in one go? Otherwise I have to sit here and go through 400 transactions and manually exclude each one seperately.
thanks

Hello there, @Chantele. Let me chime in on this thread.

Yes, you can batch-exclude your bank transactions using your browser in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to Transactions.
  2. Select All in the Date dropdown to show all of the transactions.
  3. Tick the box beside DATE.
  4. Click the Exclude button.
  5. Select Apply.

Additionally, here's an article with a step-by-step guide on adding older transactions: Add older bank transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please let me know if you have further questions or need additional assistance. I'm always here to help. Have a great day!
