Can anyone explain where the create an invoice option has gone and also my customers option has disappeared as well?Many thanks

I have the steps to resolve an issue with the missing option to create an invoice and locate customers.

 

You can locate the option to Create invoice from the Customers tab when going to the Sales tab in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'll be adding this screenshot for your convenience:

 

 

Aside from that, you can also add a new invoice directly from a customer's profile when you select them from the list shown above. To do this, select the New Transaction dropdown and choose Invoice.

 

However, since you mentioned that the customer option is missing from your account, this could be why you cannot locate the option to create an invoice. With this, we can utilize a private window to check if this issue is related to your browser. It allows us to run QBO without using the accumulated data that causes these unexpected behaviors.

 

You can refer to these keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Shift + Ctrl + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N

 

Once it works, clear your regular browser's cache to refresh your website's preference. Also, take note of the system's supported browsers for the most secure and best experience.
