Can I Edit the default text on the email that is generated when I invoice..? No one says “Hey” at the start of an email especially when it’s going to a 82 year old. I have to manually amend every invoice.

We can customise the message your customers see with their invoices in QuickBooks Self Employed (QBSE). This customisation applies to all invoices on your account. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Invoices on the left menu. 
  2. Click the Create Invoice button if you want to make a new one. You can also tick the Edit link on the invoice.
  3. Tap Customise on the top menu of your invoice.
  4. Choose Email.
  5. Enter the additional details in the Message section.
  6. Hit Close
