Can I send invoices so that they seem to come from my email address rather than a generic quickbooks one?

Hello Michelle1977,

Currently, we're unable to change the default QuickBooks email address when emailing your invoices. Aside from the workaround provided by Catherine_B, we can also share the invoice link to the customer. Here's how:

  1. Open the invoice.
  2. In the bottom left corner of the Invoice page, click the drop-down menu of the Save and send button.
  3. Select Save and share link.
  4. Click the Copy link button.
  5. Create a new message on your email provider and paste the copied link.
  6. Send it to your invoice.

Here's an article that shows the ways on how to send the invoices: Send an invoice.

I'll send another request about this to our Product Development Team. They'll evaluate the requests and will put it into consideration for product updates.

You can also visit the QuickBooks Blog to see the recent developments and news about the program.

We'll get back to you if you have additional questions about it.

Hi there, barriepreece.

The option to send invoices using your email address is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. I'll personally send this feedback to our Product Development Team that you'd like this option to be added.

In the meantime, you can download the invoice PDF file and manually attach and send it to your customer using your email. Here's how:

  1. From the invoice window, click the Print or Preview option at the bottom.
  2. Choose Print or Preview and click the download icon
  3. Open the downloaded file and save it to your preferred folder.

I'll be around if you need anything else.

Hi,

I had a Quickbooks training session a month ago and was told that there is a way of sending the invoice as if it came from my email address - is this now in operation as I can't find out how to do it.

Not the downloading a PDF way.

TIA
