Question

Can you create an invoice with out entering an email address? Some of my older customers don’t use email but could be given a hard copy.

Hello @usersjbruntonheating,

Yes, you can enter an invoice even without providing your customer's email address. Let me show you how.

  1. Go to Invoices.
  2. Click Create Invoice.
  3. Under Add customer, select a customer. You can create a new one by clicking Add new and enter a name then leave the other fields blank. Or by clicking the Edit customer info lets you remove the email address of your existing customers.
  4. Choose a product or service.
  5. Enter the amount.
  6. On the Email menu, select Save.

Once done, and if you wish to start printing your customer's invoice, you can do so by selecting the Send menu under ACTION and click Print.

Additionally, I've also included this helpful article for the steps in recording your transactions other than your invoices: Learn how to enter sales income and expenses in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
